Dear Church Family and Friends,
We are living in exciting and challenging times. The opportunities to share our faith to a fearful world are right before us. We have the peace of God that passes all understanding, a living hope that anchors us, and a faith that keeps us in the storm. Let’s be calm, confident, and courageous as people of God.
Since Governor Whitmer has banned gatherings of 50 people or more, we will move our 10:00am service Sunday to an online only format. Be assured we have exhaustively approached every option for alternative meetings, such as multiple smaller services and even an outdoor drive in style service. With the temperature being below 40 degrees and the spread of Covid-19 into our community we are confident that the best approach for this Sunday, March 22 will be to live stream our service on Facebook and ask you to worship the Lord with us in the safety of your home. We will communicate next week about what we will be doing on Sunday March 29th.
Please use these challenging times to press into God. This trial is our opportunity to deepen our faith and increase our witness. The Lord is our strength and power. Through Him we will go from strength to strength.
I believe it is important that we cooperate with the government during this time of crisis. Their first priority is the safety and security of their citizens. We support their efforts to protect us, and we pray for God to help them and bless them.
I also want to invite you to join me each evening at 8:00pm on my Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/PastorAndyShaver for daily encouragement, a message of hope, and a time of prayer. If you have children in your home, I would also like to invite you to join our Kid’s Life group on Facebook for daily encouragement for your kids via video.
As the leaders of Real Life Church, we remain available to you all week to minister to you. We want to hear from you! If you need prayer, have a question, or need help we care about you and will do everything we can to help. We will keep you informed through email, website, and social media for ministry changes. The situation is very fluid. We need to be flexible. Remember, new wine skins are flexible and open to new wine. We need to be open to God during this time for new ways to minister the Gospel.
Remember the three words for us as a church. They are:
- Faith instead of Fear
- Wisdom instead of Worry
- Precaution instead of Anxiety
Jesus’ command to us is “FEAR NOT”!
Let’s cultivate a great on-line community this Sunday. Watch, pray, and share encouragements with the on-line community. You can watch on-line at www.Facebook.com/PastorAndyShaver or www.Facebook.com/WeAreRealLifeChurch
With love in my heart and courage in my soul, I bless you in the name of Jesus.
